I have the DVD release of her performance at Red Rocks from the late 80's Rock A Little tour, and I've also seen her perform live in the late 90's on her Enchanted tour. First and foremost, I will always love Amy Grant, but I guess I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because I was slightly dissapointed in the overall energy level of the performance. But I know she's getting up in her years (which probably has alot to do with it), but those performances by comparison simply seemed much more dynamic - higher energy, better wardrobe, even fire features and white winged doves. The music, however, sounded great and completely on point - no dissapointments there. Minimal costume change - a few changes of shawls over the same black outfit (which I thought looked kinda rumpled) - I couldn't believe they didn't zip her into some lighter colored boots so she didn't look like she got dressed in the dark. This performance felt a little routine, kinda like they were "phoning it in" just a bit, I dunno. She did change into a white ensemble to sing "Edge of Seventeen," but when she came out, she still had on the same black boots with the white outfit, which just didn't look right. I wonder if she needs a new personal assistant? Hmm - where's my resume? LOL.
